Aussie WWE star Rhea Rhipley’s major life update

Must read

Australian WWE superstar Rhea Ripley has shared a softer side to her rough exterior with a candid photo from her wedding day.

The 27-year-old from Adelaide, whose real name is Demi Bennett, married fellow wrestler Buddy Matthews on June 23 and shared evidence of the loved-up couple’s ‘forever kiss’ on Instagram.

The moment was captioned, “Til death. 🖤 23.06.24”.

Shredding her gothic-inspired black boots, fishnet stockings, and crazed ringside persona for a more subdued black dress and wavy hair, the star embraced her neatly dressed beau.

Their black theme was extended through Matthews’ patterned suit and a vibrant flower bouquet which had been dotted with red and black roses.

Posing in front of a sign echoing the “Til Death” sentiment, the couple’s life development was met with love and support from friends and fans of the wrestling fraternity.

“Congrats!!!!!!” WWE competitor Bianca Belair commented.

“Congratulations ❤️,” referee Daphanie LaShaunn wrote.

Perhaps the most notable response to the newlyweds’ nuptials came from Ripley’s partner in crime, Dominik Mysterio, who competes alongside the Aussie heel in The Judgment Day team.

The antagonist’s message continued the trend in responses of black hearts, commenting, “🖤🖤🖤🙌”.

An ally to Ripley, Mysterio has become the pseudo-love interest of Liv Morgan, who injured Ripley in a devastating backstage attack earlier this year.

Morgan’s unprovoked assault forced Ripley to drop her WWE Women’s World Championship title to previous challenger Becky Lynch as she recovered from injury.

The entertaining world of wrestling lit up Optus Stadium in February when the WWE roadshow toured Perth, and it has enjoyed a resurgence in popularity Down Under.

Global stars making the trip included wrestling legend Triple H, social media star Logan Paul, and Aussie trash talker Grayson Waller.
