Australia gets its Super Eight leg of the T20 World Cup underway on Friday morning AEST, facing Bangladesh at Antigua’s Sir Vivian Richards Stadium.

Fresh off a five-day break after the group stage, Mitchell Marsh’s men will come up against Tigers leg-spinner Rishad Hossain for the first time, with the young tweaker looming as a huge threat in North Sound.

Speaking to reporters this week, Australian opener Travis Head confirmed he knew “not a hell of a lot” about Bangladesh’s bowling attack.

“I think sometimes that’s a good thing,” Head explained.

“Look at my last two months, I’ve gone into a lot of unknowns, so I feel like I’ve got a good preparation in going into games and what not.

“Putting names to faces, watching them in the warm-ups and watching footage, going in fresh and seeing the ball come down, reacting to that as well as I can.”

Bangladesh are no pushovers, defeating Australia four times in men’s T20Is over the last three years.

The match gets underway at 10.30am AEST, with Australia expected to announce a full-strength team at the toss.
