Champion trainer Peter Moody saddled six individual two-year-old winners the past four weeks … and he doesn’t plan on stopping there at Caulfield on Saturday.

Flying Straz ($9.50) or Butternut Princess ($21) could add to the tally on Saturday in a Two-Year-Old Open Fillies (1100m) at Caulfield.
“They’re running well (the two-year-olds), they’re immature horses, taken a while to come to the fore and you hope something puts their hand up,” Moody said.
“We’ve got about 20 two-year-olds either unraced or had one or two runs, like this lot, and we’re trying to place them over the next three weeks.
“You get a two-year-old fillies’ race on a Saturday, it’s a bit like a class one.”
The 16-horse field Saturday has nine unraced two-year-olds, four winners, including John McArdle-trained favourite Kalimna Views, a $6 chance with TAB, and three maidens.

She Smashes, a third Moody-Coleman entry, was scratched on Friday due to a wide barrier.
Flying Straz has barrier two, with Butternut Princess in gate 14.
Resuming on Saturday after a short freshen, Flying Straz placed third on debut behind Herastar in the Listed Cinderella Stakes (1050m) in Adelaide last February.
The Strasbourg filly, out of Flying Gaga, finished fifth in the Listed Redoute’s Choice Stakes second-up.

Butternut Princess ran fourth on debut at Caulfield a fortnight ago, 4.2 lengths behind the ultra-impressive First Settler and alongside third-placed Husk, a $9 chance on Saturday.
‘Butternut was good first trip to the races,” Moody said.
“She could improve off that and Fly Straz had a good first preparation.
“Two fillies of probably a similar type of ability.”

Moody-Coleman recent two-year-old winners include Aldolfito last Saturday at Flemington and Gallant Son.
A sharp Written Tycoon colt out of the Moody-trained Group 1-winner Plucky Belle, Gallant Son won by six lengths hard-held on debut at Sale on June 26. He is slated to run at Sandown on Wednesday.
“We thought he’s a good colt, we didn’t expect him to go there win by six,” Moody said.
