Matty ‘J’ Johnson has recalled a terrifying altercation on a recent Jetstar flight.
Speaking on his Two Doting Dads podcast, the Bachelor star, 36, revealed he almost got ‘bashed’ in front of his two young daughters, aged five and three.
‘So we get the two kids down in their seats, the guy in front of me peers over the seat, looks at me, and goes, “Do you want me to break your f*****g nose?”‘ he said.
Matty had no idea why the other man was so angry – but it soon emerged his seat was broken and would not recline, and he wrongly assumed Matty was blocking it.
The podcast host explained how a ‘hero’ flight attendant overheard the situation, realised what was happening, and arranged for the man to be kicked off the plane.
‘The lucky thing was the air hostess happened to be right next to me, walking down the aisle as he said that and she clocked it, and he starts flipping out saying that I’m stopping him from putting his seat back.
‘I wasn’t even touching the seat. Then she [the flight attendant] said, “Don’t react to him. I’m going to sort this out,”‘ he explained.
Matty revealed cops soon arrived and told the man there was ‘a problem with his booking’ – a phrase commonly used by AFP officers when they need to discreetly remove a difficult passenger from a flight.

‘Then the cops come on and they tap him on the shoulder and they say, “There’s just been a really small problem with your booking”. They’re very good at keeping it calm [and they told him], “You’re going to be on the next flight,”‘ Matty continued.
‘I wasn’t sure if he was gonna look at me and be like “you’re the reason why I’m getting kicked off”… and I’ve got Marlie and Lola next to me,’ he continued.
‘Anyway, he gets off the plane… the relief that I felt [was immense].’
