Basketball star Jack McVeigh to leave JackJumpers for Houston Rockets

Tasmanian basketball star Jack McVeigh is reportedly set to leave the JackJumpers after signing a deal with the Houston Rockets in the NBA.

According to ESPN, McVeigh will play in the United States for both the Rockets and their G-League affiliate club Rio Grande Valley Vipers under a two-way deal.

The news comes after a remarkable season for McVeigh, who recently earned a place in the Boomers squad for the Paris Olympics.

His departure will leave a big hole at the JackJumpers, who he helped lead to the recent NBL grand final.
