The owners of a beloved Perth cafe are saying goodbye to their eatery after 15 years.
The Pear’fect Pantry, known for its delicious vegan dishes, is on the hunt for new owners as current owners, Bee and Mel, pursue other interests.
Announcing the news on Facebook, they said it was a “bittersweet decision” to sell their popular Osborne Park cafe.
“After 15 incredible years of serving delicious food and creating cherished memories, we’ve made the bittersweet decision to pass on the torch to a new owner,” they said.
“Our beloved cafe is now on the lookout for its next passionate foodie to continue the legacy of warmth, hospitality, and culinary excellence.”
The cafe, which was established in 2009 and originally located in Wembley, became known for its vegan goods.
“It’s been an amazing journey over the past 15 years,” they told PerthNow.
“We feel we help bring veganised food to the mainstream and we are proud of what we have achieved.
“We hope to sell to the next hospo legends who can carry on what we have created and add their own flare to the concept.”
The pair reflected on their journey as business owners and passionate foodies, saying the cafe is more than just a business.
“It’s a community hub where friendships are formed over steaming cups of coffee and laughter fills the air. If you’re interested in taking over and carrying forward this tradition of hospitality, please reach out to us for more details.”
The Facebook post received an outpouring of love, with more than 100 customers sharing their appreciation for the cafe’s food and community it has created.
“Love what you guys have brought into the cafe world – us plant-based foodies and coffee lovers will be forever appreciative – hope you pass it on to someone who keeps it true,” one user said.
Another added: “I’m both sad and excited to hear this! Sad for me, excited for you both. You’ve created something super cool and I wish you the best of luck with next steps!”
