Bill Belichick will be part of the ‘Inside the NFL’ punditry team this season as he continues to build his media presence following his departure from the New England Patriots
After leaving the New England Patriots, Bill Belichick has established his presence on another legendary NFL media show.
The six-time Super Bowl-winning coach, who waved goodbye to the Patriots earlier in the year, was announced as a new panelist for ‘Inside the NFL’ this Thursday. Alongside Ryan Clark, Chris Long and Chad Johnson, the 72-year-old will bring exceptional insight to the upcoming 48th season of the programme.
In addition, Peyton Manning confirmed in May that Belichick will have a guest spot on his brother Eli’s “Manningcast” show. He also offered his take on the NFL Draft on the Pat McAfee Show this spring, while a book deal and podcast are also in the pipeline.

“Bill Belichick joining ‘Inside the NFL’ is a true game-changer for this storied franchise and The CW,” said CW Network President Dennis Miller in a statement. “Not only is he one of the most accomplished coaches in NFL history, but his knowledge and passion for football is truly unmatched. Fans will now get the chance to hear his insights and better understand the nuances of the game from the master himself. We cannot wait for Bill, Ryan, Chad and Chris to deliver a championship-caliber show all season long.”
Belichick kicked off his coaching career soon after hanging up his boots at Division III Wesleyan College, taking a gig with the Baltimore Colts as a special assistant back in 1975. The lad from Tennessee snagged his first head coaching role with Cleveland in 1991, before being snapped up by New England in 2000.

Belichick’s tenure in Foxborough was nothing short of legendary, bagging three Super Bowls within his first five years and notching up at least 10 wins over the following 12 seasons. But as the 2020 season unfolded, New England’s luck started to dip, leading to Belichick’s mutual split from the team this off-season.
While whispers of a switch to the Atlanta Falcons were rife, Belichick’s hunt for a new coaching spot hit a dead end, and come Thursday, he’d signed up with the CW Network.
“I’m thrilled to join my new team at NFL Films and to work on such a historic television franchise,” said Belichick. “I’ve always appreciated ‘Inside the NFL’s’ depth of analysis, and I hope to bring the same detailed insight to The CW by talking real football with real pros – Ryan, Chris and Chad – this coming season.”
As part of the New England’s two-decade dynasty, Belichick isn’t the only one making headlines in the media realm. Tom Brady, the legendary quarterback who took centre stage for each of Belichick’s Super Bowl victories, recently scored a 10-year contract to spearhead FOX’s premier football broadcast team.
“I believe I can provide a pretty unique perspective that I think a lot of people will really like. It’s going to be a lot of hard work. It’s going to be a lot of fun,” Brady said March about his transition to broadcasting. “It’s always about challenging yourself to grow in different areas. And this is certainly one way that I’m doing it.”
