SOUTH Sydney hooker Damien Cook will join St George Illawarra on a two-year contract for 2025 and 2026.
Cook broke the news to his Rabbitohs teammates at the club’s Heffron Park headquarters at 9am Wednesday morning.
One of the most respected and well-liked players in the game, Cook had one year to run on his South Sydney contract but has opted to accept a two-year deal with the Red V.

The Dragons deal is believed to be worth $500,00 per season and will provide St George Illawarra with leadership, experience and speed out of dummy-half.
It’s also a homecoming of sorts for Cook who made his NRL debut for the Red V in 2013 after coming through as a Helensburgh Tigers junior in the Illawarra competition.
Cook, 32, has represented NSW and Australia and is still regarded as one of the NRL’s elite dummy-halves.
The Rabbitohs hooker also has a wealth of big game NRL experience having played in four preliminary finals and a grand final for South Sydney.
