A bride has been mocked online for walking down the aisle in a see-through wedding dress.

The Danish woman, Pernille Rosenkilde, caused a stir in the revealing gown which some people called ‘inappropriate’.

Pernille’s look was was her own design and featured a feathered vest over a leotard with a sheer, veil-like skirt.

‘I love wearing feathers and see-through fabrics, but I also wanted the dress to be elegant, classy and a bit sexy,’ she told Vogue Scandinavia.

People were quick to slam the bride’s unique style after a photo of her dress was shared in a popular wedding shaming group on Facebook.

‘This woman wore this to a church wedding, she turned up in underwear to a house of prayer,’ one woman said.

Most people were more shocked by the design itself than whether it was appropriate to wear to a church.

‘I don’t care if it was a house of pancakes, it’s an ugly, awkward outfit with granny panties and a muppet top,’ one woman said.

Most people struggled to take the unique bridal design seriously.

‘Was the inspiration big bird swimsuit, but make it wedding,’ one woman asked.

‘When you have a wedding at 2PM, and the parallel bars at 3PM,’ another joked.

Others defended the fashion designer bride for daring to be original on her special day.

‘She looks f****** fire,’ one woman said.

‘Eh. You don’t get to be an influencer by being boring,’ another said.

Many thought it was ‘prudish’ and outdated to shame the bride for being religiously inappropriate.

‘Lord, not legs in a building,’ one woman said.

‘Priests have done much worse in church,’ another man said.

Others didn’t mind blasphemy and bridal gowns that caused a bit of ‘pearl clutching’.

But some people still insisted that the bride’s dress should have been more appropriate to the setting.

‘I’m an atheist but it’s called respect for other people. I wouldn’t wear it to a church,’ one woman said.

The groom also didn’t get away unscathed.

Many people called him out for his slipper style shoes and baggy ‘Chicago gangster’ suit.

‘It’s worse than her ‘dress’…he looks like a multiple DUI offender,’ one woman said.

‘Whoever hemmed his pants needs to confess their sins,’ another woman joked.
