Brooklyn Peltz Beckham is the latest of so-called “nepo babies” to hit back at the title.
In an interview with InStyle, Peltz Beckham, who is the eldest son of David and Victoria Beckham, spoke candidly about his life and career.
After speaking about his foray into the food industry with his new company Cloud23, Peltz Beckham was asked how it feels to be called a “nepo baby”.

“I mean, I can’t help how I was born,” he said.
“I couldn’t ask for better parents and I’m just trying to work my a*** off and trying to make a name for myself. That’s all I can say, really.”
The 25-year-old first made the pivot into cooking a few years ago with his reality cooking show Cookin’ With Brooklyn. The series copped plenty of flack online with many mocking his skills in the kitchen.

When asked about this experience he told InStyle he’s “so used to it”.
“I think with all the rubbish I get, my mum’s just like, ‘Prove them wrong. Never respond to that rubbish, just prove them wrong’,” he added.

It seems Peltz Beckham is taking his mum’s advice to heart and putting his all into his cooking brand. For the young celebrity, his drive comes from a desire to make a name for himself outside of his famous namesake.
“I think what I wanted for so long – especially the last few years – is I really wanted to make a name for myself,” he tells InStyle.
Despite his career goals in the business world, Beckham is also happy with where he’s at right now.
“I’m just a happy man. That’s my occupation.”

Peltz Beckham is not the only one to weigh in on the “nepo baby” conversation.
Actress Maya Hawke was candid about her status as a “nepo baby” in a recent interview with The Times.
“There are so many people who deserve to have this kind of life who don’t, but I think I’m comfortable with not deserving it and doing it anyway,” she explained.
“It’s OK to be made fun of when you’re in rarefied air. It’s a lucky place to be,” she added.
