NEW YORK (KIAH) – This summer, travel is in full swing as the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) reports unprecedented numbers at airport checkpoints across the country.
The TSA has announced that the top five busiest travel days on record have all occurred in the past four weeks. This past Sunday set a new single-day record, with nearly three million passengers screened nationwide.
Looking ahead, the TSA anticipates screening over 32 million travelers between tomorrow and July 8th. The peak travel day is expected to be this coming Friday.
With such high volumes, travelers are advised to arrive at the airport early, stay updated on security procedures, and prepare for potentially longer wait times. Safe travels!
