Canterbury Park Racing Tips: Wednesday, July 3rd 2024
Race 5: James Squire 1250m BM72– 3:10pm (AEST)
(6) Amnesty $13.00/$3.20: 4YO mare who we liked last start over this trip, but tired late. She is only getting fitter now and last start she went a little too hard too early. Gets a nice draw this time out and can hopefully get a run on pace behind the front runners. Prefer her there then leading. Happy to have again here at the odds. McEvoy for Neasham, must be respected.
(4) Silentsar $2.90: Resuming 4YO who comes into this off a nice trial win on the heavy and is proven first up. Draws pole position and will be in this for a long way.
(5) Yasuke $3.70: Nash Rawiller for Waller here. Proven 4YO on the soft track, but untested on the heavy. Resuming off two trials, but id like to watch the market first before I tip in.
Race 6: Tab 1100m BM72– 3:45pm (AEST)
(6) Deep Rouge $15/$2.40: 6YO mare who looks over the odds here. Last start winner in tougher grade and drops back in grade now with less weight due to the 3kg claim here. Rock hard fit now fourth up and loves this trip. Draws a nice gate to put her close enough and can handle the weather effected tracks okay. Over the odds for my liking.
(5) Chief Conductor $2.70: 5YO who was okay first up on the heavy track. Has a nice second up record and goes well over this trip with three of his four career wins being this trip. Nice draw and looks a main danger.
(2) No Statement $3.90: Freshened 5YO who has been far from his best of late. Gets a sticky draw here, but a 3kg claim engaged gives him sight at big odds. Will need some luck, but capable on his day.
Race 7: All Too Hard @ Vinery Stud 1550m BM72– 4:20pm (AEST)
(1) The Creator $3.80: 4YO who won very nicely over this track/trip/grade last start winning by 1.5L to second and then gaps to third. Must be respected again remaining at the same class with a 3kg claim engaged which puts him half a kilo lighter off last start. Rock hard fit and draws a nice gate. Hard to beat.
(3) The Little Pumper $4.20: 3YO who finished second behind The Creator last start, so must be respected off that run and now gets a top jockey in the saddle. Fitter and draws well.
(10) Shes Unusual $3.20: 4YO mare who is current favourite and is well deserving with all four runs being inside the quinella. Proved way too good last start over 1400m on the heavy track. Looks suited to go on with that now moving out to 1550m. Watch the market.
