Reporting to the Creative Director/CEO, an opportunity has arisen for a Fashion Designer to join and support the creation and delivery of Ryderwear’s collections. We are looking for someone who can bring innovative designs to the table and help us maintain our standing as a leading activewear brand in the market.

  • Research, compile, present and execute a cohesive yearly collection from beginning to end that pushes new ideas yet aligns with core Ryderwear customer base our target market.
  • Collaborate with a wider design team
  • Sketch design ranges including technical sketches and specification packs
  • Design and develop ranges end to end in accordance with budgets
  • Present designs, concepts and trend reports
  • Cost negotiations with factories, ensuring best price is negotiated
  • Liaise with factories ensuring quality assurance of all products
  • Carry out competitor industry research ensuring Ryderwear product is at the forefront of industry trends.

 

KEY SKILLS

  • A passion and understanding of the fitness industry
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of fashion design experience within the gym/fitness apparel industry
  • Thorough understanding of textiles, garment construction and applications as you will be overseeing the design process from concept to production, ensuring quality and adherence to brand vision
  • High level of initiative
  • Dynamic thinker, who constantly looks for ways to improve process and output
  • Experience in an e-commerce environment is highly desirable
  • A strong portfolio showcasing previous work, particularly in the activewear sector.
  • Proficiency in design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite, with the ability to create detailed technical drawings.
  • A creative mindset with a keen eye for color, texture, and visual aesthetics.
  • Excellent communication skills with the capability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.
