CCTV images emerge in hunt for two men over alleged hit-and-run

Police have released the images of two men wanted for questioning over an alleged hit-and-run that left a woman seriously injured in Sydney’s southwest.

A 32-year-old woman remains in hospital after she was hit by a car and thrown a short distance across the road at the intersection of Bigge St and Elizabeth Dr, Liverpool, just before 2.05pm on Friday.

She was taken to Liverpool Hospital in a critical condition, where she underwent surgery.

The driver and a passenger left the scene on foot before emergency services arrived, with police confirming a grey Subaru hatchback had been seized and examined.

The photos of two men wanted for questioning by police were released on Wednesday.

Police described the first man as “Pacific Islander in appearance, about 20–30 years old, medium build, dark complexion, with short black hair at the front, longer at the back”.

The second male was described as “Pacific Islander in appearance, about 20–23 years old, solid build, dark complexion, with short curly black hair”.

He was seen wearing a black long-sleeve hoodie and green shorts.

Anyone who recognises the men or has dashcam footage of the incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers.
