This week there is a hive of activity across the Coast with numerous work in progress to upgrade, renew, maintain, or improve community facilities and services. 

Here’s some highlights:

  • Water and sewer – the major water and sewer upgrade project at Gosford CBD continues. Crews are also working on the sewer rising main extension between Bungary Road, Norah Head and Rowena Street, Noraville.
  • Roadside maintenance – concreting centre medians along Wyong Road 
  • Road works continue across the Coast this week to fill potholes (temporary repairs to reduce safety hazards) and longer-term road repairs which help prevent potholes from occurring, including heavy patching (section repairs) or road renewals (whole road rehabilitation). View weekly update
  • Sand transfer works continue at The Entrance to protect the amenity and foreshore infrastructure at Karagi Reserve carpark. Read more.  
  • Sports – Construction of new furniture, event storage and new field and ball fencing at CCRSRC, Tuggerah, and 5 new Waste storage facilities at other sportsgrounds.
  • Sports amenities building upgrade Umina Oval (Etta Rd) and Sydney Road, Umina access road and carpark upgrade, plus ongoing road construction works as part of the Peninsula Recreation and Active Lifestyle Precinct upgrade project funded by the Australian Government.
  • Jetty renewal – Mannering Park (The Point) jetty upgrade, works to remove aging infrastructure for renewal  
  • Playspace renewals with new equipment at Budgewoi, Berkeley Vale, Hamlyn Terrace, Killarney Vale, Koolewong, Toukley, Tuggerah, Terrigal, Woongarrah, and Wyongah. plus refurbishment of Rocketship Park, Lions Park Long Jetty. Read more.
  • Playspace maintenance works – Rubber Softfall replacement at five playspaces: Dean Ave Reserve playspace, (Kanwal), Sunshine Reserve (Chittaway Point), Aloha Drive Reserve (Chittaway Bay), Bushlands Ave Reserve (Springfield), Lady Laurel Drive Reserve (Blue Haven) and Wamberal Park (Wamberal)
  • Outdoor fitness maintenance work – Rubber softfall replacement at EDSACC Oval outdoor fitness areas (Bateau Bay), and areas within Bato Skate Park.
  • Park Fencing upgrades at Sorrento Reserve Boat Ramp, Terrigal Haven, Woodbury Park Inn Reserve, Tom Burke Reserve, Marsden Reserve, Pearl Beach Tennis Court Reserve, Leagues Club Field, Terrigal Rotary Park, and Hardy’s Bay Foreshore Reserve
