Chrishell Stause in for a ‘reality check’ when she joins Neighbours

Glamorous reality star Chrishell Stause will get a ‘reality check’ when she turns up at Ramsay Street, a Neighbours actor has claimed. 

Jordy Lucas, who played Summer Hoyland on the long running Australian soap, says the Selling Sunset star won’t get the glitz and glamour she is accustomed to on her American show when she starts work at the show’s ‘jail-like’ Melbourne studio. 

‘If you watch Selling Sunset, it’s glitz and glamour. The multimillion-dollar homes they sell are beyond words, the wardrobe is incredible,’ Lucas tells Confidential. 

‘What she’s in for when she goes to Ramsay Street, is not that’. 

She added: ‘It makes me chuckle imagining what her face is going to look like when she walks into Nunawading.’ 

Lucas added that the studios reminds her of a prison block. 

‘To give you a bit of an idea of the ambience … They used to film a show called Prisoner in the studios, but then they also used to film within the halls of the studio. So the whole building has a bit of a jail vibe,’ she said. 

Stause, 42, who is married to Australian musician G Flip, made the bombshell announcement that she was joining the series in a recent Instagram post.

‘I am honored and excited to join such a beloved and iconic show,’ said the US reality TV star of the Melbourne-produced soap.

‘Coming from the world of soaps in the US, it’s back to my first love in the entertainment industry. 

‘They pitched me an idea for a character, and I was immediately excited to figure out a way to make it happen. Ramsay Street here I come.’

Stause has previously appeared in American daytime television series All My Children, Days of Our Lives and The Young and the Restless. 

Her scenes on the iconic soap will air in late 2024. 

An executive producer for the series said viewers could ‘expect intrigue and surprises – and many implications for the residents of Ramsay Street’ when Stause’s character makes her debut. 

G Flip and Chrishell tied the knot in a surprise Las Vegas wedding in May last year, with the pair hosting an intimate ceremony in front of a ‘very small group’ of people.

Chrishell first confirmed her romance with G Flip on the Selling Sunset reunion in May 2022, but the pair first met back in October 2021.
