Cricket Victoria and Academy Movement Inc. are pleased to announce a new partnership designed to grow cricket and positively impact students in secondary schools across Victoria.

In consultation with Cricket Victoria and using the Academy Movement model, participating schools will offer cricket-focussed electives at Year 9 and 10 students, and a Certificate III in Sport and Recreation with a cricket focus at Year 11 and 12.  Schools will also offer specialised cricket training down to Year 7.

Students complete units in umpiring, coaching, nutrition, sport psychology, sports strapping/taping and first aid, all while working towards a Certificate III in Sport and Recreation.

In addition, these study pathways will align with the Melbourne Cricket Education Academy in partnership with RMIT University to help students continue their cricket education at tertiary level.
