Dead body dumped in wheelie bin in Melbourne’s north

A woman’s body has been found by waste management facility staff after being dumped inside a wheelie bin in Melbourne’s north. 

Police in Kenya have used tear gas to disperse anti-government protesters following violent clashes.

Protesters have rejected appeals from President William Ruto for talks even after he abandoned proposed tax rises.

Protestors have called for President Ruto to step down.

Staff members at the Cooper Street facility found the woman’s body while moving green waste, and immediately contacted police.

An investigation is currently ongoing to ascertain the circumstances of the suspicious death. However, investigators believe that the woman was inside a bin that was collected from a property in Coolaroo on Tuesday and then transported to the Epping waste management facility.

An autopsy will be conducted to officially identify the victim.

Police are currently engaging in a massive CCTV sweep of the area. 

Investigators are interested in CCTV or dash-cam footage, particularly between Sunday, June 23 and Tuesday, July 2.

Detectives are also keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the area around that time.
