Kim Jones is back with another menswear collection for Dior. For the Spring/Summer 2025 collection presented during Paris Fashion Week, Jones hones in on his signature suiting, adding a contemporary flair to the house’s classic saddle bags. For the invitation, guests received an invite featuring the phrase, “Dior for all my friends,” in a pouch with a painting of a dog, hinting at what was to be expected. It turns out, the dog was a sneak peek at the collection which was inspired by South African artist Hylton Nel’s work. One of the artists most recognizable works include its dog drawing, which is a common motif for his pottery and ceramics.
With the help of Nel’s animal motifs, the collection receives aa fun and arty rejuvenation for the upcoming Spring/Summer collection. Continuing to honor the house’s excellence in savoir-faire, Dior’s men’s collection is about longevity and utility. Wearability comes to mind when it comes to Jones’ Dior. Playful at its core, the pieces take on Nel’s playful drawings along with patterns and prints.
The silhouettes continue to be voluminous and sees tailoring at the forefront. One thing to note was that the collection highlighted the clog in traditional workwear shoes. Highlighting the atelier’s premium quality and attention to detail, ceramics patterns as well as its pristine representation are translated to this season’s collection. Have a look above.
