Drake men’s basketball will be one of eight teams competing in the field of the 2024 Shriners Children’s Charleston Classic, the school announced Tuesday.
The Bulldogs join Florida Atlantic, Miami (FL), Nevada, Oklahoma State, Seton Hall, Vanderbilt and VCU for the tournament, which is scheduled for November 21, 22 and 24 in Charleston, South Carolina.
This year’s event features three teams – Drake, Florida Atlantic and Nevada – that made it to the NCAA Tournament last season. Seton Hall and VCU each played in the National Invitational Tournament, with the Pirates winning the NIT title a season ago.
Matchups, times and TV channels for games will be announced at a later date, though each game will be broadcast on the ESPN family of networks.
