A driver has been left furious after claiming a motorist crashed into the back of his car because he was distracted by a woman jogging on the side of the road.
The incident unfolded at the intersection of Parramatta Road and Good Street at Granville, in western Sydney, on May 23.
Dashcam footage shared on Facebook showed the driver of the white Volkswagen steadily cruising behind another car.
‘I get rear ended by a bloke who was distracted by somebody on the side of the road,’ the caption read.
The video showed the car rear-end the vehicle in front while a female jogger ran down a footpath.
The jogger was seen in the video looking back as she continued her run.
The bewildered driver put put his cigarette in his mouth before he gestured to the other driver to move his car to the side of the road.
Social media users were stunned by the accident, with many shocked by the driver’s indifference.
‘Why are all these idiots that rear end cars for no apparent reason always so matter-of-fact about it,’ one wrote.
‘How’s the total no-reaction from the rear-ender, just keeps sucking on his ciggie,’ a second person commented.
A third chimed in: ‘Right up the rear! The funny thing is the idiot who hit the car up the arse just sat there waiting for the lights to change.’
A fourth added: ‘No concern for the DC owner at all. Just sat there, smoking. What the hell?’
