The 15-year-old passenger was taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, where he remains in a stable condition.

Witnesses said the car was travelling at high speed before it crashed.

“It’s been extensive damage … We believe that speed was possibly a factor,” Senior Sergeant Leonie Scott said.

“At this stage, we are still tracing down suspects.”

The car, which had the Queensland registration 905HO2, was reported stolen from a Lawton address on July 1.

Police are appealing to the driver to come forward.

Anyone who saw the vehicle travelling on Beckett Rd before the crash, or has relevant video is urged to contact police.
