The 2024 NBA Finals are just around the corner and to celebrate the game, the league has enlisted some superstar names.
‘The Toast’ headlined by three-time NBA champion Dwyane Wade, brings together a host of famous NBA fans including Ray Allen, Mike Breen, Ken Jeong, Magic Johnson, Jimmy Kimmel, Isiah Thomas, Queen Latifah and WNBA rookies Angel Reese and Kamilla Cardoso of the Chicago Sky.
“As the Playoffs near a close, we are arriving at the pinnacle of the NBA season: the NBA Finals,” NBA Chief Marketing Officer Tammy Henault said.
“We wanted to ensure our creative captured the gravity of that, so the idea of bringing together the NBA community at a glamourous party to share in a celebration of the season behind us and in anticipation of what’s to come felt like the perfect way to tip off the Finals.”
The spot, which was directed by Dave Laden, in collaboration with the independent creative agency Translation, will run across NBA broadcasts and social media channels.
‘The Toast’ begins with Wade delivering a tribute to “the season that was and the champion to be,” as the Boston Celtics await the winner of the Minnesota Timberwolves and Dallas Mavericks for showdown for the Larry O’Brien trophy.
