Forget Instagram. For Emily Ratajkowski, the best way to flaunt an outfit is through the lens of a paparazzi shot.
The model did just that on Saturday when she stepped out in New York City wearing a sultry daytime look. To beat the rising summer temperatures, she wore a slinky gray crop top with spaghetti straps and a cowl neckline, showing off her toned abs as she walked down the street. She paired the top with a cream satin midi skirt, which hugged her figure and hit the top of her black patent boots. The pointed footwear featured Western-style embossing that made EmRata look like a city cowgirl.
On the accessories front, she wore small gold hoops and a delicate gold pendant necklace. Black wraparound sunglasses covered her eyes, while a glossy brown lip accentuated her famous pout. In one arm, the model carried a light brown Tabby bag from Coach, taking care to face the purse toward the paparazzi. The ‘70s-inspired shoulder bag, which retails for $450, featured silver hardware and Coach’s signature leather tag.
Ratajkowski often uses her neighborhood walks to spotlight smaller brands. Last week, she showed off a quirky pair of made-to-order Canvas Shoes from Korean brand Foundry Mews, and the week prior she put a gorpcore spin on an airy outfit from Spanish brand Gimaguas. She’s even modeled pieces from small swimwear brands like Fruity Booty, despite having her own beachwear brand, Inamorata.
That said, the model has used her West Village neighborhood to exhibit her own wares, too. At the beginning of June, she posed in a thong bikini set (and not much else) in the middle of an intersection to promote a new Inamorata release. Whoever said anything about a studio anyway?
