Adrian Wilson, a former Cardinals safety and Panthers front office executive, was arrested on domestic violence-related charges in Scottsdale early last month, according to multiple reports.

The 44-year-old was charged with intentional assault causing physical injury, damaging property between $250 and $2,000 and disorderly conduct-disruptive behavior or fighting, according to police records viewed by ESPN

The incident occurred on June 1 at 6 a.m. when Wilson was arrested at his home in Scottsdale, local police confirmed to The Athletic, and the charges that he is facing are all misdemeanors.

Wilson has a court date scheduled for July 16 for a virtual case management conference.

The news of his arrest comes days after the Panthers had confirmed to Pro Football Talk that Wilson was no longer serving as their V.P. of player personnel.

“Adrian Wilson will not continue in his position as Vice President of Player Personnel for the Carolina Panthers,” a team spokesperson told the outlet. “Consistent with our organizational policy on employee matters, we will have no further comment.”

It had initially come to light because Wilson was no longer listed on the team’s website, though it’s unclear when exactly he left his position with the Panthers and whether it directly correlated to the June incident.

Wilson had a memorable 12-year career in the NFL with the Cardinals, and spent time with the Patriots in 2013 – never playing a single game with them due to an Achilles tendon injury – and Bears during their 2014 training camp.

He eventually took a scouting role with the Cardinals in 2015 and moved up to director of pro scouting in 2019 before being named vice president of pro scouting in 2021.

Wilson had interviewed for the vacant Giants general manager position in 2022 and served as the Cardinals’ co-interim GM at the end of the 2022 season after Steve Keim took a leave of absence.

He joined the Panthers front office in February 2023.
