The Bulldogs run into the finals has been made harder, with middle forward Max King suffering a wrist fracture.
Bulldogs general manager of football Phil Gould confirmed the news on X on Friday afternoon, stating the 27-year-old could be out for the remainder of the regular season if surgery is required on the injury.

‘It appears Max will require corrective surgery to aid the recovery,’ Gould said.
‘This will be confirmed later tonight. If surgery is required, Max will be unavailable for the next eight weeks.’
King’s injury is a major blow for the Bulldogs, who are already incredibly light on middle forward.
DOLPHINS BLOW AS STAR’S SEASON OVER
The Dolphins have suffered another major injury blow with star backrower Euan Aitken left in agony on Thursday night.
Less than 20 minutes into the Dolphins’ clash with South Sydney, Aitken went down screaming after making a tackle on Richie Kennar. The initial report out of the Dolphins was a suspected ruptured pectoral muscle, which could well end his season.
He was immediately helped from the field and into the sheds, with Dolphins coach Wayne Bennett confirming in his post-game press conference that Aitken’s season is over.
