LONDON (Kyodo) — Japan midfielder Daichi Kamada is leaving Lazio and is set to hold talks with English Premier League clubs including Crystal Palace, a source familiar with the matter said Friday.
The 27-year-old, who joined Lazio on a free transfer last summer, saw limited game time under their previous manager Maurizio Sarri, but has been heavily relied upon after Igor Tudor took over the Italian Serie A side in March.
Lazio were seeking to extend Kamada’s contract but negotiations broke down. The playmaker could be reunited at Palace with former manager Oliver Glasner. The pair won the Europa League in 2022 at Eintracht Frankfurt.
Premier League side Everton are also showing interest in signing Kamada, the source said.
