Former LSU basketball player listed to Australia’s 2024 Olympic team

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — A former LSU basketball player was named to the Australian Olympic Team for the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Duop Reath, currently a center for the Portland Trailblazers, is headed to Paris to play for Team Australia for his second consecutive appearance.

Reath played for the Tigers from 2016 through 2018. LSU said Reath also played for the Serbian professional team, FMP, and another Serbian team, Crvena Zvezda. Reath signed a two-way contract with the Trailblazers in 2023.

During his time at LSU, Reath secured 10 double-double games and posted the second-best field goal percentage in the SEC in 2018, according to LSU Sports.

In the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, Team Australia placed third behind Team USA and Team France.

Reath was also listed on the 2023 FIBA World Cup Australian team.
