LOGANSPORT, Ind. (WJW) — The son of a former NFL football player and Kent State University alum has been found safe, according to officials Wednesday.

Bryson Muir, 14, the son of former Indianapolis Colts defensive lineman Daniel Muir, had been last seen more than two weeks ago.

Bryson’s grandmother Cheryl Wright, who lives outside of Cleveland, had told police her grandson was sporting a black eye when he was last seen. She also told officials she believed he might be being abused by his parents.

“It is a very difficult situation,” Wright previously told Nexstar’s FOX59/CBS4. “We’re all very sick about him. It hurts my heart.”

Indiana State Police reported Bryson was found at a family home in Logansport, Indiana.

Daniel and his wife Kristen were taken into custody. Bryson is now in the care and custody of child services.
