SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — Former SDSU football players were on hand for the JFPA youth football camp Friday night.
Roughly 250 kids, ranging in grades kindergarten through 8th grade, were in attendance for the event. They ran a variety of drills including working on running, catching, blocking and tackling under the direction of several former Jackrabbits and current NFL players.
This year was the second year of the youth camp, and it not only provided the players a chance to give back but also reconnect with one another.
“It’s tough being gone,” LA Rams linebacker Christian Rozeboom said. “Obviously busy in the fall, so I can’t make it to any games. So it’s kind of the time to see the guys, see the coaches.”
The JFPA will be hosting a second youth camp in Brookings in July.
