Four children among injured after house fire in Melbourne’s south-west

Emergency services were called to the home just before 7am, after they received calls to Triple Zero.

Fire crews arrived within minutes to find the two-storey house fully involved in fire.

Five people were evacuated from the house with multiple people suffering from smoke inhalation and burns.

Paramedics treated a teenage boy at the scene before he was taken to the Royal Children’s Hospital.

A man in his 60s and three children were also taken by road ambulance to Werribee Mercy Hospital.

Fire Rescue Victoria deemed the blaze under control about 7.35am.

The home has been significantly damaged by the fire.

Point Cook is located 22km south-west of Melbourne’s CBD.
