Must read

Accused killer cop Beau Lamarre-Condon will lodge a lawsuit against NSW Police for bullying and harassment, according to his lawyer John Walford.

The former NSW Police senior constable is accused of shooting Jesse Baird, 26, and Luke Davies, 29, at Baird’s Paddington sharehouse in February and disposing of the bodies on a rural property in Bungonia, near Goulburn.

The bodies were found inside surfboard bags allegedly purchased days earlier at Westfield Miranda.

Sunrise newsreader Edwina Bartholomew spoke about the new developments on Thursday.

“The defence lawyer for accused killer cop Beau Lamarre-Condon says his client is continuing with a lawsuit against the NSW Police Force for bullying and harassment while he was a constable,” Bartholomew said.

Police officer Beau Lamarre-Condon, 28, has been charged with the murders of his former partner Jesse Baird, 26, and Baird’s new partner Luke Davies, 29.

In comments first published by The Daily Telegraph on Wednesday, Walford confirmed the legal move.

“Yes, action against police is continuing … it’s huge,” Walford said.

It is believed mental health will “probably” form part of Lamarre-Condon’s defence to the murder charges.

It comes as a number of photos have emerged of Lamarre-Condon and Baird together while they were dating.

One photo of the pair posing near Sea Cliff Bridge, near Stanwell Park, was published to his Instagram last year.

“More weekends like this, thanks,” Lamarre-Condon wrote under one photo.

Another showed the pair sitting in a rock pool in the Royal National Park.

Lamarre-Condon remains in protective custody inside Silverwater prison.

He will face court again on June 18.
