A mansion in Georgia with a resort’s worth of amenities that was once asking $16.5 million is headed under the hammer next month—with bids starting at a sliver of the price.
The more than 150-acre property is in Monroe, an hour west of downtown Atlanta, and will be sold in three parts. While still on the sale market for $16.5 million, the trio of lots will have starting bids on July 1 ranging from $750,000 to $3.75 million, according to Interluxe Auctions, which is handling the sale alongside Chuck MacPhee of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Georgia Properties.

It’s not clear when the owner, listed in records as a limited liability company, acquired the property, or how much they paid.
The prized lot of the bunch is the six-bedroom main house, which sits on roughly 20 acres. Built in 2018, the mansion is entered via a grand foyer with a split staircase and a Swarovski chandelier. It leads on to a marble-floored living room, a formal dining room, a family room and two offices. The heart of the home is the chef’s kitchen, which is fitted with a pizza oven, a wine fridge, two dishwashers and a walk-in pantry.
There’s also a primary suite with a double-sided fireplace connecting the bedroom and sitting area, two walk-in closets and a sauna. Elsewhere, the house has an elevator; smartphone-controlled lights, speakers and a security system; and a safe room.
The lower level is “an entertainer’s delight,” according to the listing, with a full bar, an indoor basketball court, a home theater, a wine tasting room, a recreational room and a gym.

The outside of the property is just as well equipped, if not more so, than the inside. That’s where you’ll find the pool, spas and a water slide, as well as a putting green, fire pits, a tiki bar with a full kitchen, private nature trails, a helicopter landing pad and two creeks.
The greater estate also has two log cabins, one spans roughly 3,800 square feet and has five bedrooms, a home theater and a bar; the other has one bedroom and a covered deck.
The other two lots headed to auction are a roughly 80-acre parcel with a large warehouse, and an almost 50-acre undeveloped property zoned for agricultural use or rural estate living.
