If you’re in a foreign city and looking to avoid the typical overpriced tourist traps, ask a taxi driver where they eat, according to Kilkenny-based baker and cafe owner Julien Toudic. He says this is the most reliable way to find good places, as “they often know where the best food is at the best price, and it’ll be somewhere you’d never find on your own”.​
