The Australian Associate Editor Graham Lloyd says Peter Dutton says there will be a “big fight” between state premiers and Dutton if he is elected and goes through with his nuclear policy.
Opposition Leader Peter Dutton announced the Coalition’s nuclear energy plan last week, including the seven proposed sites for the government-owned nuclear reactors.
State premiers have announced they do not support the decision to build nuclear reactors.
“This is going to be a big fight,” Mr Lloyd told Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell.
“The approach is to take it to an election and then try and get a mandate.
“We’ll have to see how it goes.”
