The 35-year-old Gold Coast mother-of-two made the announcement on Instagram, telling her almost one million followers that her company Baseline Active would cease operation after four years in business.
“This chapter is closing and a part of me is definitely sad and will miss aspects of this beautiful brand, but all of me knows this is the right choice for my health, wellbeing and next chapter,” she wrote.
In March, Bines revealed that she had been diagnosed with a small aneurysm, which had caused her to temporarily lose her eyesight.
She was admitted to a hospital where she underwent MRI and CT scans.
At the time, doctors determined the aneurysm was unlikely to rupture, but she informed followers that considering her family history with the condition, she’ll have to get it checked “regularly for the rest of [her] life”.
“It’s been such a ride this past few months and my health scare made me re-evaluate everything however I’m so grateful as I’ve learned so much about myself, about business, what I enjoy, my strengths and weaknesses and overall what I value in my life,” Bines continued in her post.
“These last few months especially have taught me what I want more and less of and when it’s time to let go and step into my next season.”
Baseline was launched in January 2020, offering “top-quality” activewear, “premium” nutritional products and fitness programs.
The website is currently advertising an “everything must go” closing down sale, with all stock listed to clear at $30 or less.
Bines elaborated further on her decision to shutdown her business in an episode of her podcast Grow and Glow.
“Put the business aside, I really want this message to be an empowering message,” she said.
“Day-to-day if you are not feeling happy something has to change, something has to shift, your body is telling you that through these emotions.”
