Roosters prop Terrell May has been hit with criticism from rugby league fans after an unsavoury comment on Joseph Suaalii’s Instagram post after his Origin debut send off.

Suaalii, having only played eight minutes in Game I before he was given his marching orders, posted a photo of the moment he left the field.

“Mixed emotions. Disappointed let me brothers down, fam n [sic] state down. Blessed and honoured to put the blue jersey on. #311. Onto the next,” the caption read.

He was met with a wave of support, with Nathan Cleary, Angus Crichton and Josh Addo-Carr among others rallying behind the young star.

“Onto the next my brother!” Cleary wrote, while Crichton commented: “got you dawg [sic]”.

However, May commented “HIS [sic] DEAD” and was met with over 100 comments from fans, with some labelling it a “gross” way to speak on Reece Walsh’s head knock.

Meanwhile, he replied to one comment that read “your spelling is dead” by saying “have fun at work bum”.
