A single vehicle crash near Noosa in Queensland has left one person dead and another seriously injured.
A Suzuki Grand Vitara was travelling along Louis Bazzo Drive about 5pm on Saturday when it crossed onto the wrong side of the road, according to an initial investigation.
The car then left the roadway and hit a tree.
The driver of the vehicle was declared deceased at the scene, believed to be a 73-year-old Traveston man.
The sole passenger was a 46-year-old female who was rushed to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a serious condition.
The state’s Forensic Crash Unit has commenced inquires into circumstances surrounding the incident.
Anyone who may have seen the vehicle, witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage is being urged to come forward and speak to police.
