DeChambeau surged up the leaderboard on Saturday after firing a 67 (-3) with six birdies at Pinehurst No. 2 in Pinehurst, N.C. He is just 18 holes away from winning his second career U.S. Open, as he took home first place at the 2020 tournament at Winged Foot Golf Club in Mamaroneck, New York.

For comparison, DeChambeau won $2.25 million for winning the 2020 U.S. Open.

DeChambeau signed a reported four-year, $125 million contract with LIV Golf in June 2022.
That is tied with Dustin Johnson for the fourth-most lucrative contract LIV Golf, trailing Jon Rahm ($300 million), Phil Mickelson ($200 million) and Brooks Koepka ($130 million).
