Hugh Jackman and English actress Kate Beckinsale have been spotted getting close to each other in the Royal Box at the Wimbledon Tennis Championships on Saturday.
The Australian star, who is currently living in London while filming Three Bags Full: A Sheep Detective Movie, appeared friendly with the Pearl Harbour actress as the pair witnessed Barbora Krejcikova defeat Jasmine Paolini in the women’s final.
Jackman, 55 and Beckinsdale, 50, were pictured embracing each other with a sweet hug.
They were later seen smiling and whispering during the match.
It’s understood the pair are single and have known each other for years after co-starring in 2004 horror film Van Helsing.
The Wolverine actor has described working with Beckinsdale as “the most fun I’ve ever had on set”.
“It’s easy to be nice around good people. We had a great time. We really did. I think it was the most fun I’ve ever had on a set,” he said.
Their Wimbledon appearance comes after it was revealed Jackman was open to finding love again in the United Kingdom.
Jackman announced his split from his wife of 27 years Deborra-lee Furness in September 2023.
“He wants to be closer to his mum and sister who are based there – and possibly to find love again,” an insider told New Idea this month.
“He really wants to find somebody who can help him make the world a better place and put the good will he’s earned after 25 years in Hollywood to work for something more than his personal stardom.
“He is committed to branching outside of his entertainment industry bubble to find somebody he can spend the rest of his life with, and who can help him put his fortune to good use around the world.”
Jackman’s divorce announcement shocked Hollywood insiders when the long-time showbiz power couple ended their seemingly rock-solid marriage.
“Our journey now is shifting and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth,” they said in a joint statement obtained by People magazine.
“Our family has been and always will be our highest priority.”
Furness is also understood to be single but has been spotted out and about with some of Australia’s most eligible bachelors in recent months, including former Mentalist star Simon Baker.
Beckinsale also appears to be flying solo after her marriage to US director Len Ryan Wiseman ended in 2015. Their divorce was finalised in 2019.
