Hugh Jackman has put his baking skills to the test as he celebrates Pride month, posting a sweet Instagram about 10 months after his shock split from Deborra-lee Furness.
The Wolverine star took to his stories on Thursday to share a photo of what appeared to be a homemade cake covered in bright yellow icing and rainbow decorations.
“Happy Pride!” the 55-year-old captioned the image in vibrant rainbow font.
Pride Month — which celebrates the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer (LGBTQ+) community — is marked across the globe in June each year.
Pride Month acknowledges years of struggle for civil rights and the ongoing pursuit of equality that the LGBTQ+ community faces.
The post comes months after a source told New Idea magazine that Jackman was looking for love again following his split from 67-year-old Deborra-Lee Furness.
“Finding love again is one of his biggest priorities,” the source said.
“Everyone expects Hugh will remarry fairly quickly. He’s such a soft-hearted person and is likely to fall for the first girl who catches his eye.”
The power couple made headlines across the globe after announcing their shocking split after 27 years of marriage in September last year.
Months after their divorce, the Aussie hunk opened up in an interview with People Magazine about how he was coping and who he was leaning on in the wake of his marriage breakdown.
Jackman revealed fellow Hollywood star Ryan Reynolds was someone he could count on and has felt safe enough to tell him things he’s “ashamed and embarrassed” about.
“There’s probably fewer friends in our life that you can say anything to, the stuff you’re ashamed, embarrassed, anything,” Jackman said.
“And ever since I’ve known you, and I would say in particular in like the last five, 10 years, we’ve had more time where we go for our walks because you’re an unbelievable listener.
“So you can tell me anything and I can tell you anything, and I don’t feel like you’re going to be judging or necessarily giving me the answer: ‘Do this.’ And I think that has been the key.”
The pair’s close bond has grown stronger after spending time together ahead of their upcoming Deadpool movie.
Reynolds said he is “genuinely rooting for Jackman all the time”.
