If you’re planning a getaway this summer, you’re in luck: Amazon Prime Day starts at 00:01 on Tuesday 16 July and finishes at midnight on Wednesday 17 July.
You’ll find big savings on everything from home appliances to makeup products and tech. And, we’ll be bringing you the best deals across these categories on our main hub page throughout the two days.
Do you have to be an Amazon Prime member to shop?
Yes – unfortunately if you’re not a member you won’t be able to access the best savings. But you can sign up for a 99p week-long trial before the shopping event, to enjoy the offers.
But remember to cancel before the trial ends to avoid automatically moving onto the £8.99 a month membership.
To save you trawling Amazon throughout the sale, we’re doing the work for you and checking in regularly to bring you the best travel deals to buy before your next getaway.
Some of these products have been tried and tested by the GHI, and you’ll see these by our GHI Approved logo on the images. All the rest have been carefully selected by our GHI travel pro and the Good Housekeeping editors.

This tried and tested hold suitcase gives you up to 112.5 litres of space for all your luggage. Testers found everything packed away securely, and it moved smoothly on test. It’s soft-sided so don’t leave it in the rain, but otherwise it’s a sturdy buy.

Was: £185; Now: £138.80
For something that stands out on the luggage belt, look no further than this large suitcase. The capacity expands up to 110 litres and its hard sided design was durable when our testers bashed it around a bit. The zip isn’t waterproof, and it was a bit noisy on cobbles, but it’s a great value buy.

This vibrant cabin bag impressed GHI testers with its smooth moving wheels. It has a TSA-approved lock, the inside was relatively spacious (for a carry-on) and the shell was waterproof even if the zip let in a little moisture.
There’s no side handle to help with popping it in the overhead locker, but its telescopic handle worked well.

Was: £11.95; Now: £10.76
If you only want earplugs for occasional use, these are a good bet. They can be used for up to 100 times and testers found them comfortable thanks to the soft, hypoallergenic material.
