A lucky Australian who initially thought he’d won $13 on the lottery was delighted to discover he’d actually scooped $13.3million.

The man in his 30s, from Lidcombe in western Sydney, was one of three division one winning entries in Tuesday night’s $40million draw.

He initially believed he had only won $13 but after a second look realised he would be splitting the massive jackpot with two other winners.

The entrepreneur said he had no plans to retire or stop running his business after the massive win.

‘I’m going to keep working,’ the winner said.

‘I’m going to put some of the prize into my business and I’m going to help my family.’

He added that he was going to ‘have a bottle of champagne’ to celebrate.

The winning numbers from Tuesday night’s draw were 10, 15, 29, 31, 42, 5 and 13, while the supplementary numbers were 17, 40 and 39.

What he plans to do with his winnings is a far cry from the winner of last week’s record-breaking $150million Powerball jackpot.

‘I’ll buy a house, I want to travel the world, and I’ve got a family and friends I want to help, but for now, I can’t wrap my head around how big this prize is,’ the huge jackpot winner, from Adelaide, said.

‘This is life-changing. I can’t stop smiling and pinching myself. I can’t believe my luck.’

The man said he was in a state of shock when he first got the call from lottery officials.

‘I’m still pinching myself. I can’t believe it. I’m the mystery winner. I’m Australia’s biggest lottery winner ever,’ he said.

He said it was late last night before he checked his tickets.

‘I checked the first one and it came up with nothing, then I scanned the second one and it said $150million. I’ve never screamed so loud or jumped so high,’ he said.
