A Perth business owner and fashion influencer has shared the moment the plane she was a passenger on had a failed landing.
Jacquie Alexander — co-founder of fashion label In My Moods and reusable coffee cup brand Daily Iced — said she started “spiralling” when the plane was unable to land due to winds.
In a video shared on Instagram, the digital creator can be seen crying and grimacing as the pilot is heard saying the plane would attempt to land again in the next few minutes.

“First time experiencing a failed landing attempt and I was spiralling,” she wrote in an Instagram story.
Ms Alexander — who suffers from Emetophobia, a phobia of vomiting — said the experience was made even worse because a child sitting near her started vomiting.
“Then if it couldn’t get worse, the child behind me was vomiting nonstop because of the turbulence.”
“It smelt so bad I was literally crying, my emetophobia was screammmmming.”
The post prompted many women, who are also anxious about flying, to reach out to her.
However, Ms Alexander said the experience should serve as a reminder that pilots and planes are more than capable of dealing with unexpected issues.
“Honestly that experience made me realise what a plane can do, we were literally about to touch down and went right back up no issue!
“So if anything to take from this is how impressive these aircraft are AND how capable the pilots are to deal with everything.”
