I’m a denim connoisseur—so much so, there was a period in my life when I owned over 50 pairs of jeans. As a former fashion designer who worked alongside some of the best denim designers in the business, I really appreciate the art behind making a quality pair of jeans.

Sizes range from 24 through 32, each with a cropped inseam length that stops a few inches above the ankle and a high-rise silhouette that fits snugly throughout the hip and thigh. The denim material has minimal stretch, which allows for a bit of give.

Lee Mid-Rise Boyfriend Jeans

I’ve gained some weight in the last few years, making my baggier jeans fit more snugly than I’d like. I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect pair of easy-fitting denim, and my eye is on Lee’s Mid-Rise Boyfriend style. It comes in nine washes, ranging from dark to light and even some distressed options. Made of 99 percent cotton, it offers a bit of stretch for some give around the body, so it’s not constricting. The fit is mid-rise and the pre-rolled length stops short of the ankle, though they can be rolled down for more coverage.
