Ja Morant hosts first basketball camp for youth

Must read

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – A big day ahead for Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant as he prepares to host his first basketball camp.

It will be at the Memphis Sports and Events Center starting at 9 a.m.

It’ll cost you $200 and starts at 9 a.m. Saturday. It is not too late to sign up.

Kids will get to learn from Memphis Grizzly Ja Morant at his first-ever ProCamp.

They’ll also be coached by some of the top high school and college coaches in the area.

We’re a ways away from the start of the Grizzlies season, but Ja Morant is already making his mark on the community this summer – by hosting this camp for the first time.

Ja and the coaches will provide tips and hands-on instruction along with lectures and fundamental basketball skills stations to match.

The kids will also compete in contests and non-contact games.

It’s for boys and girls first through 8th grade.

It’s really about them learning and having fun in a positive environment.

Campers will be in small groups by age, and there’s a 10 to 1 max camper-to-coach ratio.

There will also be individual and team awards given out.

Kids get to leave with new skills camp t-shirts and a souvenir autograph from Ja.
