Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown performed Umrah in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, with former teammate Taco Fall.
Brown, 27, was pictured with Fall and several men performing the act of worship in front of the Kaaba on Monday.
Having converted to Islam in 2021, Brown honors the practices of the religion and recognized how it has transformed his life beyond basketball.
‘Ramadan is something special, It’s something that’s saved my life in a lot of ways,’ the guard shared in 2022, per the Boston Herald.
‘So shoutout to all the people who are participating and shoutout to everybody who shows respect because, in reality, some things are bigger than basketball.’

Brown recently embodied the kindness preached by his faith when he rewarded a pair of fans for returning a custom ring that he lost during the Celtics’ championship parade on July 2.
Brown posted a the video of him meeting fans Adi and Luke on his Instagram. After they handed the ring to Brown’s friend, the Celtics star stepped out of an SUV to thank them personally.
The former Berkley star wore a hoodie and sunglasses and asked the fans not to be loud as he handed them gifts to express his gratitude on Causeway Street in Boston.
‘We really just wanted you to have it back,’ Adi tells Brown as he handed them a signed ball and jersey. Brown also appears to hand them an envelope, which Luke refused to take at first.
Brown led the way for Boston to get their historic 18th NBA title after beating the Dallas Mavericks in 5 games.
He proved worthy of his five-year, $304million supermax extension with the Celtics in 2023 by averaging 20.8 points, 5.4 rebounds and 5.0 assists in the NBA Finals.
