In Game 1 of the 2024 NBA Finals, Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum debuted the new “Next Stop Dongdan” colorway of his signature Jordan Tatum 2 shoe.
The new Tatum 2 colorway is a tribute to an annual streetball tournament in Beijing, China. The summer tournament, however, isn’t just a regular tournament — it’s a celebration of the culture and streetball lifestyle in China.
The “Next Stop Dongdan” colorway features a radiant fusion of purple, red and turquoise that symbolize the sunsets in Dongdan and the name of the court where the tournament is played: Sunset Dongdan.
Tatum averaged 26 points, 10.4 rebounds and 5.6 assists during the postseason heading into Game 1 against the Dallas Mavericks.
