Jetstar will begin flying direct flights from Brisbane to Bangkok later this year for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic.
On Friday, the budget airline announced it would reintroduce the route, with sale fares for as low as $205.
Brisbane to Bangkok flights are set to begin from December 13, in time for the Christmas holidays, as international flight routes out of Brisbane return to near pre-pandemic levels.

Brisbane now offers international flights to 32 destinations — before the pandemic, it was 33.
Jetstar Group CEO Steph Tully said she expected “this new route to be incredibly popular”.
“This is our 20th Brisbane route in what is Jetstar’s 20th year of flying and we’re focused on delivering for our customers with more new routes and new aircraft on the way.”
It comes just one week after Jetstar relaunched its Sydney to Osaka route for the first time in 15 years.
“Australians’ love for Japan continues to grow and the strength of the Australian dollar against the yen means it’s incredibly affordable right now,” Jetstar executive manager of customers Jenn Armor said.
“This is the third direct service we’ve launched from Australia to Japan in the last six months and the second to Osaka, with strong demand for our existing flights.
“As the food capital of Japan, Osaka has so much to offer Aussie travellers with incredible night markets, street stalls and Michelin star restaurants.”
