Irish designer Jonathan Anderson presented JW Anderson‘s Spring/Summer 2025 collection at Milan Fashion Week, encouraging attendees to take a step back and think about the power of the REM cycle. The theme was clear from the get-go, gifting attendees with a printed T-shirt that read the words “REAL SLEEP” as their invitation.
The venue itself was then transformed into a cozy bedtime escape, featuring twinkling lightbulbs and plush fabrics. The collection that followed mirrored these motifs, including quilted coats, cream and pink duvet cover jackets and oversized bombers.
As is customary for Anderson, the collection offered a playful (and oftentimes exaggerated) approach to classic silhouettes, adding a touch of surrealism and artistic influence to pieces like denim dresses, belted jorts and textured jackets. As always, texture played a big part, with glossy sheens coating puffed-up hoodies and ruffles adorning jackets.
Staying true to his Irish heritage, the designer also presented a slew of looks in collaboration with Guinness, resulting in co-branded knitwear.
